Henna, 18, a small-town girl from the north becomes literally blind because of envy for a new girl from the south, Silja. Henna stalks Silja with a pair of binoculars, falls over, hurts her eyes and temporarily loses all eyesight. When Henna starts seeing again she doesn't tell anyone. Henna sees her envious antics have messed up Silja's life, and that's not what she wanted after all.
Maria K. Mononen is half Karelian, half Northern Finnish. She’s a directing graduate from ELO Helsinki Film School. Maria is interested, to the point of obsession, in human nature, how we see reality and what really matters in life. She likes to write her own films but is always in search of a scriptwriter. When not making films she writes folk songs.
