Angel of the North
The beloved painting Wounded Angel by Hugo Simberg is a painting that provokes discussion about art, passion, death, evilness, the existence of angels and ultimately hope. Angel of the North is a journey through Finland during which we meet different people who all have a close relationship to the painting. Through their discussions, a picture of Finland and the Finnishness is portrayed – how it is perceived and represented both collectively and privately.
