Spring 1995. Finland is in deep recession, and the future looks bleak. Looks like the most important annual sports event – the Ice Hockey World Championship - won’t give respite. Finland has never won gold in any team sport. However, this time something is different. The new head coach, Swedish Curt Lindström, gets the team playing better than ever. The final match against the arch rival Sweden beckons at Globen, Stockholm. 95 is not only an epic ice hockey story, but it also tells how the event affected ordinary people in Finland and in Sweden.
